2025 VIDAK [K_Identity]; International Exchange Exhibition Announcement
We want to expand the opportunities for new international artists to participate in Vidak's international exchange exhibitions. This exhibition is not only recommended by Vidak members, but if various artists wish to participate, they can download the application form from the website of Vidak and submit it. (If you can't download it, please contact us separately.) However, if it does not fit the theme or does not suit Vidak's work, it will be excluded from the entry.
In terms of size and submission form, we will be exhibiting a video through the project, so you can submit it after working in a more free form.
After the exhibition ends, a PDF copy and certificate of entry will be provided, and the deadline for submission will be February 3rd.
This international exchange exhibition will be held in conjunction with an international academic conference IJCC2025 at the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan, which is known as the Hawaii of the East. Okinawa, formerly known as the Ryukyu Kingdom, was a central country for maritime trade, and traces of exchanges with ancient Korean countries can be seen in various artifacts. Okinawa has developed its own language and culture, and has had its own identity. Today, even after being annexed by Japan, efforts have been made to preserve Okinawa's unique identity. We hope that the history of exchange with Korea and Okinawa's unique identity will be maintained and developed, and the theme of this event is K_Identity. Korea is a country with a long history of 5,000 years and maintains its own identity. We hope for communication and exchange through works that represent the identity of various Korean cultures, such as Hangeul, Hanbok, Korean food, Korean medicine, and architecture.
